Important: FlyNat is a tool to assist drone pilots. Compliance with all applicable aviation regulations (Transport Canada CARs, CAAC, EASA, CAA, CASA, etc.) remains solely the pilot's responsibility. FlyNat does not replace official regulatory guidance.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using FlyNat (the "Service"), including the FlyNat mobile application and FlyNat LogBook Desktop software, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including but not limited to drone pilots, operators, and organizations.
2. Description of Service
FlyNat provides:
- FlyNat Mobile App — a mobile application for Android offering a live flight map, real-time location sharing, drone telemetry display, the Flight Nation social feed, direct pilot-to-pilot chat, and push notifications.
- FlyNat LogBook Desktop — a Windows application for logging drone flights, importing flight records, generating PDF logbooks, and syncing with Google Drive.
- FlyNat Website — informational content and download portal at flynat.net.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use FlyNat only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable aviation regulations in your jurisdiction
- Maintain accurate flight records and not falsify logbook entries
- Ensure your drone is registered and that you hold appropriate certification required by your national authority
- Not use the live location feature to facilitate reckless, dangerous, or illegal drone operations
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
- Not use automated tools to scrape, stress-test, or abuse our servers
- Not post content to Flight Nation that is illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, or otherwise harmful
- Not harass, bully, or intimidate other users through Chat or Flight Nation
- Not impersonate other pilots or misrepresent your identity
- Not post content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others
4. User-Generated Content
FlyNat allows users to post content to Flight Nation (text, images, videos) and send messages via Chat. By submitting content, you:
- Represent that you own or have the right to share the content
- Grant FlyNat a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display the content to other FlyNat users for the purpose of operating the Service
- Understand that posts are visible to all authenticated FlyNat users
- Accept sole responsibility for the content you post
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or is reported as harmful, without notice. Repeat violators may be suspended from using social features.
5. Moderation & Account Suspension
FlyNat administrators may, at their discretion:
- Remove posts or comments that violate these Terms
- Restrict a user's access to Flight Nation for violations of community standards
- Restore access upon request if the restriction was applied in error

6. Push Notifications
By using FlyNat, you agree to receive push notifications for chat messages, new Flight Nation posts, post likes, and airspace alerts. You may disable any or all notification types at any time from the Notifications settings in the app.
7. Aviation Compliance Disclaimer
FlyNat is designed to assist with flight logging and compliance documentation. However:
- FlyNat does not constitute legal or regulatory advice
- PDF logbooks generated by FlyNat are for record-keeping purposes — their acceptance by regulatory authorities is not guaranteed
- Transport Canada CARs 901.48 compliance features are provided as tools only; the pilot remains responsible for actual regulatory compliance
- Live map and telemetry data are provided on a best-effort basis and must not be used as a primary safety or deconfliction tool
8. Intellectual Property
FlyNat, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Pavel Rosental. All rights reserved.
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. This license does not grant you rights to copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense the software.
9. Free Service & No Warranty
FlyNat is currently provided free of charge. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of flight data
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Compatibility with all devices or operating system versions
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FlyNat and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or flight records
- Drone accidents, crashes, or incidents arising from reliance on FlyNat data
- Regulatory penalties or fines resulting from non-compliance
- Loss of business or revenue
11. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
12. Third-Party Services
FlyNat integrates with third-party services including Google Firebase, Google Drive, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and DJI systems. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.
13. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
